Cathedrals - Iona Prints - 3/5

My Iona collage series was made after a family trip to the island, my mum and her mum's afterlife home.

This piece, Cathedrals, features a window of Iona Abbey, a recurring motif for this collection, as a cut out on the hills, through which we can see the sea. My own spiritual understanding as a child made me see the Isle of Iona as a sort of heaven-island, and I wanted to represent this by making the whole landscape its own cathedral.
